Annotations:
All of the piano work is by my wife, Shi-Ling Shih (except for Oberon, which
is the laptop playing, via Finale). Dearth in Venice is a rock rendition
of La Lugubre Gondola No.2 by F. Liszt. Periodic Tables is for two amplified
door surfaces and mixed percussion. Seranak was written at the Tanglewood
Festival in 1985, for Violin, Clarinet and Piano. The String Trio is for
Violin, Viola and Cello. Minim is for Horn, Trumpet and Trombone, though
they are doubled in this performance. Oberon is a recent solo piano piece.
Aubade, Diurne, Intermezzo and the Variations have been grouped together
as a suite. Finally, a Switch in Time is the third of a three part piece
for electronic-enhanced rock ensemble, performed by my died-in-the-womb ensemble
'NotElvis' and features brilliant drums and percussion by Bob Muller plus an astounding bass solo by Andrew Harkin..
