Notes
Released in 1994, Electria contains a suite of short electronic preludes
which were featured in Chaos, an interactive CD-Rom game in the spirit
of Myst (but a lot funkier). The music here was actually created for the
original purpose ot the CD, which was to be an exploration of the many
forms of dynamical systems. Each is either created or at least influenced
by chaos, or is a meditation on some worldly chaotic thing. The suite was
created in a cabin at Yaddo in 18 days. Quasimodo's Dream uses MSP-generated
additive synthesis. Pandora began as an analog electronic piece, and was
revisited digitally in 1985. Kata was my first experience with a primitive
(DOS, no less) midi sequencer.
